It took me about a hundred pages to get into it, but once I did, like King's character Jake Epping who time travels to the late 50s/early 60s, I didn't want to leave. LOVED it! The best time travel book I've ever read!
King creates characters you care about it. His attention to historical research was just simply amazing. The world building alone makes this novel a worthy read. The love story was a nice surprise and wound up being the engine that drives the story. King's plot twists also kept me guessing. Just when I thought I'd figured out how the plot would go, he'd surprise me again...and again...and again.
